Of course, I may have missed the point a little...

...with my 'list of things I have thus far refrained from purchasing'. For the most part, they are things I will buy at some point, just not while the challenge is on. (I know, I know!) Still, I have discovered that one can live without buying all that much and that a lot of the stuff I buy is not strictly necessary. Plus, I have got more enthusiastic about charity shops. TR and the Mouse are clad mostly in hand-me-downs and charity shop gear, because they look cute in the kind of clothes we find that way, but I didn't used to shop that way much for myself. I never thought I could find much that I liked, but I now realise I was just being lazy and did not want to search through the racks. (I'm like that in 'new' clothes shops too - if it's not facing out, I can't be bothered to find it.)

Anyway, although I'm not promising never to buy new again (and I really do want to buy a new washing-up bowl!), doing this week's 'challenge' has made a difference to my outlook, I think. How about you?

Hey Green rubies, good to be back, and wow a post in my honour.....words fail me. Actually it was my password that kept failing me which was why I was absent for quite a while....(O: Myself, my wardrobe is an anarchic mix of Oxfam, sales bargains and the odd splash out in Hobbs, John Lewis, and Boden. I won't shop at Gap because I don't trust their child labour credentials, but I am more than happy to buy their stuff in Oxfam (takes the moral onus off and gives the profits to somewhere I feel happier about). Mind you, I've heard dodgy things about Oxfam too........it seems you can't be sure with anybody. Master McGregor is clad in charity and ahnd me downs, and my own home crocheted garments...fortunately he is still young enough not to reject these beautiful creations (o; Mr Macgregor shops mostly at sales but has high quality garments that last a long time. He almost certainly has as many pairs of shoes as I do. Well, I digress a little, but suffice it to say, charity shops are where it's at.I have been known to visit Wilmslow and Alderly Edge (posh places in Cheshaaaaaa solely with the purpose of checking out their charity shops)I advise a trip to Guildford or Farnham to check theirs out.
